Well, that was certainly a long hiatus; and thanks to everyone for their interest and patience in the interim. We’ve been working out a lot of details, but didn’t want to say anything until we had a firm commitment for a time, a place, and a team.
January 26th and 27th Madrona Workshop Troupe returns, this time at the Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo, WA – thanks to the auspices of Mukilteo resident and fellow workshop instructor Deborah Nedelman. (Go check out her bio on this site, or over at her other business Soundview Writers.)
Deborah will start the day with tools, insight, wisdom, and advice about the writer’s main focus, the manuscript. I’ll take the afternoon to talk about the self-publishing side: how to select a publisher, and the opportunities and cautions that are part of the print-on-demand and e-book worlds. Sunday, Wynn takes over and delves into the marketing; because, writing and publishing are worth celebrating, but the really good news happens when the world becomes aware of your work.
We’re still working out a few details, so stay tuned – and I look forward to seeing you in 2013.
Oh yeah, and we tried to make sure we’ll have a room with a view. That’s one of the nice things about Mukilteo, that and the fact that the world converges there by car, bus, train, and even ferry.
See you soon!
